Dear friends,
The clouds outside my window are edged with deep purple. Night is approaching much earlier than it did last week.
The leaves having fallen, we can see further and hear more distant echoes. There is more darkness, but also more clarity.
This is what I have taken to calling “sunrise and sunset season.” It’s the time of year when spectacular colors stop us in our tracks.
They are the tradeoff for the long nights.
As we approach a period of increased darkness, may we stop and appreciate these twice-daily reminders of the beauty that surrounds us.
With love,
Sarah
